| packing and cleaning my room has been quite a challenge... yes packing is a lot easier this year because i have a better idea of what to pack and all of that. i also already had most of what i needed, just needed to buy a few things. (i actually miss the shopping part though.. i think that was the most exciting thing about the summer before college!) so the process has been that as im packing i clean my room... which has been needing a good cleaning since i came home with everything from my dorm room. so my mom has been helping with this whole endeavor which i love.. i love to have someone along side me for things like this. and spending as much time with my mama as possible is wonderful, because im sure i will miss her the most again! we have a few things to finish up packing and then the clothes last!
a bunch of us went out to fridays last night for dennys birthday... although they supposedly dont do the singing thing anymore and he didnt get his free sundae. but i had a yummy dessert and so many laughs... i just love my friends! i will miss them all dearly! but i cant wait to get back to my CU friends! after dessert we went to seths and watched bottle rockets.. i had never heard of it... its written by owen wilson and he plays a main role, need i go any further? his brother was also in it... it was just stupid but hilarious i tell ya!
today i went into my mamas office with her... unpacking boxes upon boxes of new school nurse supplies... it was tedious but we had fun! i checked out her ears in the otoscope which was pretty neat! and practiced height'weight measurements and blood pressure on her and my little sister... i'm actually excited to get back and learn more information and skills now!

| well vacation was great.. i was so ready for it by the end of the week... my mom, katy and i drove to youngstown, OH (northeastern) to pick up my gramma... once we got there had some dinner and packed up we headed up to michigan. we got there and went to bed shortly after our long day of travelling! so in the next week we went to the "beach" (oceans are waaay better than lakes!) to the mall, mackinaw island (i drove the 5 mile long bridge!), cedar point, and plenty of chillin time as well. i also got to go see phoebs in lansing on saturday... we went to this cute little children's science museum but it was cheap fun!! many laughs were had there and on our adventure with faulty directions over and over. we finally made it to chili's and had a yummy meal with eachother... and ironically olivia called me while i was with phoebs... its so wonderful to hear her voice! i called her back on my way home and we chatted for a few hours, just like old times! makes me even more excited about getting back to school and seeing everyone. by the end of vacation i was very anxious to get home b/c i was realizing how short my time home would be before i head back out to cedarville! i am excited for everything but classes! which i like to think is normal and hopefully i will be able to get back into the swing of things easily and enjoy them as well!
ive been hangin out with my super great friends since ive been back in town and i will miss them so much when we all leave! ive been feeling the stress of cleaning/packing crunch time! i made a very detailed list of everything i need to pack/take (highlighted what i dont already have) and went to IKEA yesterday with my mama... i love that store even though i didnt need much of anything there! i got a sweet lamp though. so now i should be cleaning my room and packing as i go... so i must leave the computer... | | |
| last week was the craziest time of the summer... heres a sample day: daycamp in the morning, babysitting afterwards, eating dinner, back to church to chaperone teen week events, back home late to sleep! 5 days in a row.. with no naps! i wanted to nap everyday sooo much, but alas i still have yet to catch up on my sleep... every year i love this week of the summer... yes it is crazy and tiring but it is one of my favorite times of year... but now i can truly say that i have never in my life been so "ready" for vacation... although i didnt have time to pack until last night! but now we are leaving for a week in flint, michigan with some of my moms family. it is going to be a good week.. i know it! and hopefully i will be getting to see phoebs and ang!!! i hope everyone has a wonderful week, dont miss me too much  | | |
| so i am surviving... but not liking the whole idea of "living alone"... pretty sure i would avoid it at all costs in my future... my parents have been calling a lot b/c theyre worried and feel bad. so i have to babysit today-friday (the reason i couldnt go to ohio!) so after this week i take them along with me to daycamp at my church next week and then i'm all done, thanks to their mom pretty much screwing me over for the month of august... but i shouldnt be complaining! bethany stayed over with me saturday night... we went to sunday school and church on sunday, and then i had to babysit after church. the college and career class went down to philly for the night and left before i was finished.. but a few people came over after and we watched all of the old missions trip videos.. good times! nicole and bethany stayed over to keep me company which was wonderful.. we watched the notebook.. so cute! it was at least 5 when we finally went to bed.. and for no reason! i made pancakes and bacon for breakfast and then just chilled with bethany and jessy until the evening... since i was alone, i slept in my moms bed with the tv on for noise.. i think its a good solution b/c i slept great! pray for my bravery for the rest of the week... and patience with the mack's! love you all! | | |
| so its been a nice, long, busy week! i babysat all last week and the weekend and then i had monday off and it was great! i went shopping with jessy and then to the drive-in with a bunch of people to see madagascar... its was good.. but not as great as finding nemo, shrek, etc. we stopped at a little diner and then she had me drive the mountaineer back because she was soo sleepy! nice ride! so i babysat everyday for the mack's-- spent a lot of time at the pool  ... tuesday night i went to ashleys and filmed her riding her horse... then i met aaron and will for some ice cream and to discuss the rehoboth trip... all good ideas about how to do things better although there were no big problems with this years trip. ashley had some people over to swim, chill in the hot tub and then we watched the poland video... i miss it so much and cant believe how much i forgot! wednesday jr. and sr. high girls were altogether and amy did a lesson on hypocrisy... such a big issue in pretty much all areas of sin and something we need to be reminded of.... then thursday after babysitting aaron and i met up with amy at her work and headed up to pinebrook which is in stroudsburg, pa (the poconos) it was family week (a bunch of familys from bible fellowship churchs in the area go for their vacation) and we just went up for the evening... we got there in time for the evening service and then had some delicious ice cream served by the pastors! after babysitting the mack's on friday i went to babysit again and then came home and crashed into my bed! i got up this morning to see my family off... they left for ohio and wont be home until the 25th! so it's always nice to get a break (although this summer has been great with my family!) but i hate to be home alone... i love to always be in the presence of people and i never sleep well when i'm by myself... so most of the time i invite people over or go to friends houses... i remember when ellen stayed in my room one time so that i didnt have to sleep alone... with all of the giggling and whispers we had ourselves a little sleepover... or the time jessy stayed over with me and we werent tired but she had school the next day and i had to be at the airport really early... great memories! so bethany is going to stay with me tonight, im very grateful for that! how are yall doin? hello and i love you all! until next time... | | |
